Çobanlar is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar . The city is five kilometers north of the D-300 on a connecting road to Bolvadin and Emirdağ . The city is located about 20 kilometers east of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar and is home to about 64 percent of the district's population.
The district is located in the center of the province . It borders Şuhut in the south, the central district in the west, İscehisar and Bayat in the north and Bolvadin and Çay in the east . In addition to the county seat, it consists of another municipality / town ( Belediye ): Kocaöz has 2,879 inhabitants and is divided into four Mahalle divided. The district also includes the villages ( Köy ) Göynük (975), Kale (953) and Akkoyunlu (363 pop.).
