Sultandağı is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar . The city is located about 65 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar and is home to about 36 percent of the district's population. The city is on the D-300 highway from Izmir to Konya . It is divided into 6 Mahalle .

The district is in the east of the province. It borders Çay to the west, Bolvadin to the northwest , Emirdağ to the north, Konya province to the east and Isparta province to the south . In the northwest of the district is part of the lake Eber Gölü , in the southeast of Akşehir Gölü . In the southwest lies part of the Sultan Dağları Mountains .
In addition to the district town, the district consists of two other small towns / municipalities ( Belediye ): Yeşilçiftlik ( 2,151 ) and Dereçine (2,150 inh .). In addition, 11 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 490 inhabitants belong to the district . Yakasinek (1,415) and Kırca (1,203 pop.) Are the largest daovn.
