Dazkırı is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar . The city is located about 110 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar and is home to about 46 percent of the district's population.

The district is located in the southwest of the province . It borders on Evciler in the northeast, Başmakçı in the southeast and Denizli Province in the west . The D320 trunk road runs through the city and the district from southwest to northeast from the west coast via Aydın to Dinar . In the south of the district there is a part of Lake Acıgöl , in which large amounts of sodium sulfate are mined.
In addition to the district town, there are 16 villages ( Köy ) in the district with an average population of 376 inhabitants. About 53 percent of the rural population live in the villages. Two villages have over a thousand inhabitants: Yüreğil (1,558) and Karaağaçkuyusu (1,097 inh .).
