The Phrygian Valley (Turkish: Frig Vadisi ) is located near Afyon in western Turkey and extends from Döğer (near İhsaniye ) via Alanyurt to Seydiler . Tuff stone chimneys ( Peri Bacaları ), similar to those in Cappadocia , can be seen along the entire route .

You can see settlements carved into the rock that were still habitable until the Byzantine period. Apartments, monasteries, churches and small castles from the early days of Christianity as well as rock tombs and streets from the Phrygian and Hittite times. This was where the Emre dervishes from the early days of Islam in Anatolia met .

  • İsehisar: Pointed stone formations ( Karakaya and Kırkiler ) and rock tombs from Byzantine times.
  • Alanyurt
  • Ayazini : Ancient city of Metropolis and old rock-hewn churches from the Roman-Byzantine period, Avdalaz Castle
  • Aslantaş and Yılantaş , Phrygian rock chamber tombs with depictions of lions . Traces of a two-lane ancient Afyon- Seyitgazi road .
  • The Phrygian cult facade Maltaş
  • The Phrygian Cybele Monument Arslankaya
  • Döğer-İhsaniye: Demirli and Bayramaliler Kalisi rock settlements , Emre dervishes buildings
