Seydiler is a town and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Kastamonu in northern Anatolia . Seydiler is located 25 km north of the provincial capital Kastamonu on a plateau over 1000 m high, which is framed by the ridges of the Küre Dağları mountain range . The city of Seydiler is located on the D765 trunk road (Kastamonu – Inebolu). The D759 trunk road to Cide also begins in town (99 km). Seydiler was raised to Belediye (municipality) in 1968
The district borders on Küre County in the north , Devrekani County in the east , Kastamonu County ( Merkez ) in the south, Daday County in the southwest and Ağlı County in the west . The county was formed in 1990 from the western part of Devrekani County. Until then he had his own Bucak there and had 6,019 inhabitants at the last census before the change of area (1985), of which 3,546 inhabitants belonged to the Belediye / Bucak Merkezi Seydiler.
At the end of 2018, the district consisted of the district town and 15 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 100 residents. The spectrum of the population was between 184 ( Sabuncular ) and 52 ( Çerçiler ). Six villages had more and nine fewer than the average population.
The Devrekani Çayı River flows through the district and the city in a westerly direction. The Beyler Dam is located 9 km northeast of the district town on İncesu Deresi , which flows into the Devrekani Çayı in the west of Seydiler.
