PhyloCode

The International Code of Phylogenetic Nomenclature ( ICPN ), also known as "PhyloCode" , is a set of rules under development for the creation of a new biological nomenclature based on the naming of monophyletic groups within cladistics . The idea for a new, non- Linnean system was developed at Harvard University in 1998 .

Version 4c was released in 2010, version 5 followed in 2014 and version 6 followed in 2019.
