Albaldah
Albaldah ( Arabic البلطة, DMG al-Balṭa 'ax') is the proper name of the multiple star π Sagittarii ( Pi Sagittarii , short π Sgr) in the constellation of Sagittarius (Sagittarius). It has an apparent magnitude of +2.89 mag and belongs to the spectral class F2II. Albaldah is 440 light years from Earth .
Albaldah has two companions in nearby orbits. Pi Sagittarii B is 0.1 arc seconds or at least 13 astronomical units (AU) from Albaldah. The second companion, Pi Sagittarii C, is 0.4 arc seconds or at least 40 AU away.
As a star near the ecliptic, Albaldah can be covered by the moon and in rare cases by planets of the solar system . The next occultation of Albaldah by a planet will be on November 17, 2035 by the planet Venus .
