The Pico Basilé (formerly Pico de Santa Isabel ) is the highest mountain on the island of Bioko , which belongs to Equatorial Guinea . At 3,011 m , it is the highest of the three shield volcanoes that make up the island. The mountain is located near the state capital Malabo . Bioko was formed by the same geological fault as other islands in the Gulf of Guinea .
