Pierre Zaoui

Pierre Zaoui (* 1968 in France ) is a French philosopher and university professor .

Life

Zaoui is the offspring of a Jewish family from the Maghreb . His research deals in particular with Baruch de Spinoza , Gilles Deleuze , David Hume and political ideas such as liberalism . He teaches at the University of Paris VII- Diderot.

He is a contributor to magazines such as Esprit , Astérion and Mouvements . He is also a member of the editorial board of Vacarme magazine , which, among other things, represents the ideas of the New Social Movements .

Zaoui is a member of the Center international d'étude de la philosophie française centemporaine (CIEPFC) and program director at the Collège international de philosophie (CIPh).
