Piet Rooijakkers (born August 16, 1980 ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Career

Piet Rooijakkers began his international career in 2003 with the Dutch cycling team Löwik Meubelen . After two years he moved to the Continental Team AXA Pro Cycling Team , for which he won a stage of the Olympia's Tour . From 2006 to 2010 Rooijakkers drove for the Professional Continental Team Skil-Shimano . During this time he was able to achieve top positions in the overall standings in important stage races . He was ninth in the Tour of Denmark in 2006 , fifth in the Four Days of Dunkirk in 2007 and tenth in the ENECO Tour in 2008 . At the end of the 2010 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist.
