Pietcong

Pietcong (play on words from Pietist and Vietcong ) is a derogatory but humorous term for Pietists who are radical in their piety and originated in the 1970s . The term is common in certain Protestant regions (e.g. in northern Swabia in the area of Altwuerttemberg ), but general and not limited to a specific group.
