Pieter Mertens
Pieter Mertens (born August 25, 1980 in Lommel ) is a Belgian racing cyclist .

Pieter Mertens won a stage at Flèche du Sud and then got a professional contract with the Belgian cycling team Vlaanderen-T Interim for the following year . In his second year he won a stage in the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour in Landau . In 2006 he switched to the ProTeam Davitamon Lotto . He ended his career at the end of the 2007 season.
