Pieterskerk in Beesd

The Pieterskerk is a Reformed church in the Dutch town of Beesd in the West Betuwe parish .

history

From the medieval church of Beesd only the massive tower stump from the end of the 15th and beginning of the 16th century has been preserved, which in earlier times had an important function in flood protection.

The nave of the original hall church was replaced by the current building in 1825.

organ

With the consecration of the new nave, the church received an organ that was built in 1756 by the organ builder JH: H. Bätz had been built, including the historic organ case , which was slightly modified during the implementation to adapt it to the new conditions. The instrument has been repaired and revised several times since then. In 1913 the organ builder JJ de Koff (Utrecht) built a new organ in the organ case. Today the instrument has 12 registers on two manual works (main work - lower manual; auxiliary work - upper manual). The pedal (Cd 1 ) is attached.
