Pietro Basile (born July 21, 1989 in Munich , Germany ) is an Italian singer and songwriter .

Life

At the age of 5, Basile's passion for music began. He learned to make music independently through keyboard lessons and to cover well-known songs. In 2007 he met the producer Simon Blaze with whom he produced his first own songs. A year later he started to publish songs in Italian and German.

Career

After his first German-Italian single Scusami had a viral success and was streamed several million times on Youtube , he signed his first record deal with the Teeage-Beatz label in 2009. In the same year he made his debut album Io canto , with which he went on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2019 he signed his second recording deal with the Alana Productions label. On September 12, 2019, Basile made it into the national media with the single I need only you , which was released as a duet with singer Sarah Lombardi . For the first time one of his songs ran in regular rotation on RTL II and their label El Cartel Music . The song entered the charts at number 49 on September 20 and stayed there for two weeks. On May 15, 2020 another single was released on RTL II with the title Tanz mit mir (Ritmo dell'amore)
