Pietro Ghedin

Pietro Ghedin (born November 21, 1952 in Scorzè , Italy ) is an Italian football coach and former football player .

Ghedin was a defender and began his career at Fiorentina . In 1974 he moved to Lazio Rome and played there until 1981. Then he was still active for the clubs AC Pistoiese and AC Siena and ended his career in 1985.

Ghedin has been working for the Italian Football Association since 1987 . First he coached the U-18 team. At the 1990 World Cup he was used as a scout . Between 1993 and 1995 he coached the Maltese national soccer team . Then he was assistant coach of the Italian men's national team . In 2005 he took over the Italian women's national team from Carolina Morace . From 2012 to 2017 he coached the Maltese national football team .
