Pietro Pasqualigo (* 1472 ; † 1515 ) was a Venetian diplomat who worked as an ambassador in Portugal (1501–1502), Spain (1502–1504) and later with Emperor Maximilian . His reports on the Portuguese discoveries are important contemporary testimonies. A letter dated October 19, 1501, in which he reports on the return of one of the ships in Gaspar Corte Real's fleet , is contained in the travelogue collection Paesi novamente retrovati (Book VI, Chapter 126) published by Fracanzano da Montalboddo and printed in 1507 .
