Pigeon Mountain ( Māori : Ohuiarangi ) is a 55 m high cinder cone on Half Moon Bay near Bucklands Beach in Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand . It is part of the Auckland Volcanic Field . It is used for scientific school trips. The entire north side of the mountain fell victim to a quarry. The mountain was the site of a Pā of the Māori and some of the terraces are still preserved. Skulls and artifacts were unearthed by students at Pakuranga College in the 1960s.

The mountain is open to the public, it offers a good view. The north side is fenced because of the almost 30 m deep, almost vertical slope.

In the southwest corner there is a sports field with changing rooms, which has good natural drainage because of the slag underground. In the quarry on the northwest side there is a BMX track and a group home for the scouts.
