Liqueur
A piqueur (French: piqueur) is a pack leader in riding hunts and parforce hunts , i.e. a member of the equipage who accompanies the pack of dogs . Picors must ride safely as they must ride one-handed the entire hunt . There are courses for drag hunting picors where they can learn the necessary skills. The hunting riding badge level 2 enables the use as a picor. A field liqueur, on the other hand, accompanies a field of riders.
The picors use whips to steer the pack of dogs. The whips serve as a means of communication with the dogs. The targeted blow at the dog is only used in exceptional cases as a last resort , as otherwise the dogs develop fear of the whip and can no longer be led properly. The picors can be recognized by the whip.
