Areas of responsibility

care, support

For around 40 infants and toddlers who for various reasons cannot grow up in their families, the Lóczy is the home with the adults working there as caregivers.

research

The care of the children is supported by regular and extensive records of the observations of the nurses as well as the psychological and educational staff. These observations represent both the basis for the individual care of the children as well as starting points for additional scientific research and publications.

Teaching

This area of responsibility is divided into training, advanced training and international exchange. A very specific structure of further education was developed for the employees of the Lóczys, which is based on the field of research mentioned above.

Since 1971 , the Lóczy has had the task of training the employees of all Hungarian nurseries for babies and toddlers. Hungarian students of certain subjects are given the opportunity to sit in on as well as domestic and foreign specialists. Approx. 1300 publications in the form of writings, photos, films and photographs also serve the ongoing exchange with numerous institutions and universities at home and abroad. The publications and documentation of the Lóczy illustrate the lectures, seminars and congress contributions in different countries by his employees.
