Pilaitė ( Polish: Zameczek ) is a district of Vilnius , which is located in the northwest of the city. A street in Pilaitė was named after Vydūnas , which is now Vydūno g. called. There are also two lakes in Pilaitė: Gilužis and Salotė . The last Soviet houses in Vilnius can be found in Pilaitė today.

Facilities

Pilaitė has two middle schools (Pilaitės Middle School Vilnius and Martynas Mažvydas Middle School Vilnius). There is the Catholic St. Joseph Chapel. The Catholic St. Joseph Church has been under construction since 2016 . The Lithuanian intelligence service Valstybės saugumo departamentas is based here .
