The Pilatus P-5 was a single-engine aircraft from the manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft , but it did not get beyond the planning stage.

The Pilatus P-5 was designed in 1951. The client was the Federal Military Department (EMD). It was a single-engine, two-seat high- wing aircraft with a fixed tail wheel landing gear , which was intended to be used for combat and artillery observation (KAB). It was planned to build the fuselage as a tubular steel frame and clad it with sheet metal, while the wings and the tail unit were to be designed as a fabric-covered light metal frame. Fixed slats and flaps were provided for the wings. In the generously glazed cabin, the pilot and observer would have had an extraordinarily good view on all sides, thanks to the curved side windows, even vertically downwards. However, it only remained with the project draft and no prototype was built.
