Pilot was a German music group. It was founded in Magdeburg in 1977 and dissolved a few years later.

history

The founding members were keyboard player Hans Peter Dohanetz (formerly with electra and Magdeburg ), guitarist Heinz Geisler (formerly Bürkholz-Formation and Automobil ), bass guitarist Klaus Weigert (formerly Klosterbrüder and Magdeburg) and Bernd Schilanski (drums). About half a year after it was founded, there was already a significant change in the line-up. Freud came for Schilanski, who went to the Magdeburg group. Stefan Schirrmacher took over from Geisler on guitar and Wilfried Becker came as a solo singer.

In 1977 the radio productions Sunday and The First Race took place , in 1978 at night on the highway . Shortly afterwards, several band members left the band and were replaced by Stefan Dohanetz (drums) and Günter Grete Fischer (guitar). Pilot disbanded in 1979.
