Pilot Speed is a Canadian pop rock band from Toronto , Ontario consisting of Todd Clark, Chris Greenough, Ruby Bumrah and Bill Keeley.

Band history

Pilot Speed ​​was founded in Toronto , Ontario in 1999 under the name "Pilate". Her debut EP was released in 2001. They were then signed by MapleMusic Recordings . Her first two albums "Caught by the Window" and "Sell Control for Life's Speed" were released in 2003 and 2006 by MapleMusic Records, respectively.

On June 26, 2006, the band announced that they would change their name to "Pilot Speed" due to potential legal disputes with companies outside Canada . Her second album was finally released in the United States on September 19, 2006 under the name "Into the West". They worked together with Wind-up Records .

The first single of their second album "Into the West" is "Barely Listening", which was also used in the NHL 07 video game .

The song "Alright" is part of the soundtrack of the film Death Sentence , which was released in 2007 and may be. a. used in the final scene.

On June 30th, 2008, Pilot Speed ​​announced that they were working on a new album with producer Dennis Herring. This was published in Canada and the USA in April 2009 and was called Wooden Bones .
