Pinga , actually José Lázaro Robles (born February 11, 1924 in São Paulo , † May 7, 1996 ibid) was a Brazilian football player who played as a striker .

career

Pinga began his professional career in 1943 at CA Juventus in São Paulo . In 1945 he moved to Portuguesa . He played there until 1952 and scored 190 goals, in 1950 he was top scorer of the Campeonato Paulista , the championship of São Paulo, with 22 goals . From 1952 to 1962 he was under contract with CR Vasco da Gama , where he twice won the State Championship of Rio de Janeiro ( Campeonato Carioca ) (1956 and 1958). With 250 goals in 466 games, he is one of Vasco's most successful goal scorers. From 1962 to 1964 he let his career with Portuguesa end.

National team

For the Brazilian national soccer team , Pinga was in action at the 1954 World Cup and the 1953 Copa America .
