Pingyuan (Meizhou)

The Pingyuan County ( Chinese  平远县 , Pinyin Píngyuǎn Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Meizhou in the northeast of the Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​1,381 km² and has a population of around 250,000 (2003). Its main town is the large community of Dazhe ( 大 柘 镇 ).
