Christoph Kaserer

Christoph Kaserer (born November 11, 1963 in Meran , Italy) is an Italian-German business economist and has been a professor of business administration at the Technical University of Munich since 2002 .

Life

Kaserer studied economics at the University of Vienna . In 1992 he gained at the University of Würzburg Dr. rer. pole. with a dissertation on " The Risk Allocation Effect of Options Markets ". In 1998 he received the Venia Legendi in business administration. In 1999 he was appointed to the chair of financial management and accounting at the Université de Friborg (Switzerland) . In 2002 he moved to the Technical University of Munich . There he is full professor for business administration and heads the chair for financial management and capital markets. Since 2003 he has also been Scientific Co-Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS), an institution of the Technical University of Munich.

Christoph Kaserer's research focuses on issues from empirical capital market research, corporate finance and control, financial intermediation, and private equity and venture capital . In 2005 he received the initiative award from the Industrial Research Foundation . He is also a member of the Munich Finance Forum eV
