Pinocchio is a French music project . It was launched in 2005 by producer and songwriter Bruno Berrebi . In analogy to other children's hits, which made it to the top of the international charts in early 2005, he released the single T'es pas cap Pinocchio in spring 2005 .

Career

The song is based on the melody Birichinata , which the Italian composer Fiorenzo Carpi created in 1972 for a film adaptation of the novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi . Berrebi wrote a text for the melody and underlaid it with simple techno rhythms . After the computer-animated video was specifically used in children's television, T'es pas cap Pinocchio developed into one of the most successful singles of the year in France. It has been sold more than 500,000 times and also hit the charts in neighboring Switzerland and Belgium.

In autumn 2005, the German music producer Michael Rick took up the concept and created a German-language adaptation of the single under the title Klick Klack . The video was also shown on television in Germany. As a singer, the Hamburg student Emily gave the character her voice. The single was released in Germany in early 2006 and reached number 3 in the German charts.
