Pintschens Quell , in Lower Sorbian Pintšowe žrědło , is a small spring declared a natural monument and an officially designated residential area in the municipality of Byhleguhre-Byhlen , east of Byhlen in Brandenburg .

The edging of the spring was redesigned in spring 2006. The source ditch is covered. With around four liters of water per second, the spring is one of the most productive in the region. After a few meters, the small watercourse drives a model waterwheel . Small hiking trails lead from the source to neighboring sources. The Forester's House Byhlen is only about 200 meters away.

The origin of the name of the source is unclear. It seems possible that Pintschen is the name of a former source guardian. From 1820 onwards, the water from the spring was led to Straupitz Castle through an approximately 7 km long pipe , where it was possibly used by the castle brewery. The line consisted of about four meters long, drilled through tree trunks, which were connected with flanges made of metal. Since there is only a seven-meter gradient on the route, the engineering work associated with the construction of the line is considerable. A piece of the wooden pipe is now on display in the old castle warehouse.
