Piotr Wiesiołek (born February 28, 1964 in Katowice ) is Vice President of the Polish Central Bank ( Narodowy Bank Polski ). With the death of Sławomir Skrzypek on April 10, 2010, he took over the management of the central bank.

Wiesiołek is a graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin in English and later studied money and banking at the Warsaw University's Faculty of Economics . From 1992 to 1996 he worked at the central bank as a securities analyst and from 1994 as chief trader. In 1996 he moved to the Polish-Canadian Bank Św as Vice President . Stanislaw . In 1999, Piotr Wiesiołek became a member of the board of directors of Ochrony Środowiska, which specializes in financing ecological projects. Two years later he became the first vice-president. On March 6th, 2008 he was appointed Vice President of the Central Bank by Lech Kaczyński .
