Pischi , also Pische , was a measure of volume and liquid and a unit of mass ( measure of weight) in the former German East Africa and Zanzibar .

  • 1 pishi = 4 kibaba = 3.2 liters
  • 15 pishi = 1 farra
  • 60 pishi = 1 dzisla
  • Dry measure in Zanzibar (especially for palm kernels): 1 Pischi = 2 Kisage = 4 Kibaba = 2.28 liters
  • Weight: 1 pishi = 2 mani = 6 ratels = 48 waki = 2.7 kilograms
