Pitching (English to pitch = to throw, incline, vote, pitch = pitch, angle of inclination) means:

• in golf, the execution of an approach shot
• in baseball, the throwing of the ball by the pitcher
• in aerodynamics the adjustment of the rotor blade
• a change in pitch in music
• in the advertising industry, a competition between agencies for an advertising budget, see agency pitch
