description

Pitscandly House is a few hundred yards northeast of Lunanhead. It probably dates from the late 17th century. The two-story mansion is designed in a classical style. Its facades are plastered with Harl . The central projection on the south-west exposed, symmetrically constructed main facade closes with a triangular gable . At the back there are two wings that enclose an inner courtyard.

The small pigeon house south of the manor house was built in the same construction phase. Its quarry stone masonry is limed. It closes with a slate pent roof . One of the sundials was erected in 1772. It consists of a square shaft that carries a cube. A stone dial is inserted into these. Possibly a replica from the 19th century. In which year the second sundial was created is unclear. The structure is unfinished. It is a large ball that rests on a fluted base.
