Pizzicato is a Luxembourg-based online music magazine that has long been published as a printed magazine. Since 2014 it is only present on the internet. The editorial content is limited to classical music and consists of news from the classical world, reviews, interviews and features. The music journalist Remy Franck (* 1952) has been the editor-in-chief since 1991. He is also President of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).

Pizzicato was first published as a printed magazine from 1951 to 1959. The publisher was Jeunesses Musicales du Luxembourg, who brought the magazine onto the market again in 1991. From 1994 it was published monthly by Artevents GmbH in Luxembourg and reached a circulation of 4000 copies, which was distributed in Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium. After the funding by the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture ceased, the print edition was discontinued. Since 2014, Pizzicato has only been accessible on the Internet. The publisher is now Orkite asbl

Pizzicato was first a member of the jury of the Cannes Classical Awards, then the successor jury MIDEM Classical Awards and finally, after another name change, the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA). Pizzicato is freely accessible on the Internet and has published over 7,700 articles since it first appeared on the Internet in 2013 (as of February 2017), including 2,200 audio and video reviews. Particularly outstanding releases receive a Supersonic Award. The languages ​​used are mainly German and English, occasionally also French. In addition to the news, the reviews are particularly popular.
