The Pleneau Island is a 1.3 km long island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the west coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located immediately northeast of the Krogmann Island .
Participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903–1905) mapped it as the headland of Krogmann Island. Expedition leader Jean-Baptiste Charcot named it Pointe Pléneau . It is named after Paul Pléneau (1869–1949), photographer on this research trip. It was first shown correctly as an island on an Argentine map from 1957.
