Planetization

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, 1955

Planetization or human planetization is an evolutionary theoretical model according to which mankind is irresistibly driven to a global form of socialization (collectivization). The term planetization was coined by the French thinker Pierre Teilhard de Chardin . He claims a deterministic megatrend that is inherent in the very plan of evolution . The earth and the “human matter” that populates it are irrevocably exposed to this process, the drift towards the collective. This movement, which indeed pulls humanity into “super-organized forms”, would make the individual even more personal (more human) for that very reason.
