The Plattner Hof in Wolfsgruben

The Plattner-Hof , a single farm , is one of the oldest farms in South Tyrol and is mainly used as a museum today.

The Plattner-Hof is located on the Renon , in the Wolfsgruben fraction of the municipality of Renon above Bozen . The farm was first mentioned in a document in 1406. The combined residential and stable building was inhabited until 1975; Until then, it had neither a power connection nor a public water supply. In the 1980s, the Grimm family acquired and renovated the farm. A beekeeping museum is housed in the cellar vault and in the stable. The name of the farm is derived from the rock slab (dialect: Plattn) on which the farm is built.
