Playdia ( Jap. : プレイディア , Hepburn : Pureidia , developed under the codename SA-X ) is a stationary game console of the fifth generation made by Bandai was released on 23 September 1994 exclusively in Japan at a price of ¥ 24,800.
It was intended more for a younger gaming audience and, like many other consoles of this generation, was marketed as a multimedia entertainment system rather than as such. The console was delivered with a wireless controller that exchanges data with the console via infrared .
