The tower

The Pletzergasse tower is a remnant of the city fortifications of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The semi-circular bastion tower made of bricks stands between Am Pletzerturm and Hohenzollernstrasse . The tower was built at the beginning of the 16th century and is part of the city fortifications of Düren . The tower has a vaulted dome in the basement and the upper floor.

The ground floor of the lavishly restored Pletzergasse tower is used by a neighboring restaurant for outdoor dining in the summer months.

The building is entered under No. 1/010 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
