Thump
Plumps is a character from the cartoon series Our Sandman, created in 1986 for GDR television , and depicts a small rebellious water goblin . In the show, he and his best friend, the chick, conquer his environment and experience exciting adventures. Plumps originated from a "ball of plop", which is where its name comes from.
history
The doll for the Plumps series was created by Gerhard Behrendt based on an idea by Ingeborg Feustel . The dolls were made by Gerd Braeutigam, Berlin-Grünau, a former television engineer in the GDR and model maker (own exhibition in the Berlin Victory Column). The elaborate puppet series has been produced in the animation studio of GDR children's television since 1983; there are almost 70 episodes. Plumps was broadcast for the first time on October 2, 1986. The episodes are still being broadcast today (as of June 2020).
The spokeswoman for the character Plumps is Carmen-Maja Antoni , the chick is voiced by Angelika Lietzke . The music comes from Bernd Wefelmeyer .
