Pluripara

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pluripara (multiparous) are female mammals, including humans, that have had multiple births . According to the number of births so far ( parity ), this term can be specified in Primipara (1 birth), Secondopara (2), Tertiopara (3), ...

The term must not be confused with Multipara (Syn. Polypara ). This defines the mean number of offspring per birth.

The opposite of Pluripara are Nullipara (primipara), i.e. women / female animals that have not yet given birth.

Another classification is plurigravida . This is the number of pregnancies or in animals pregnancies counted that do not necessarily have to end in a successful birth. Women or female mammals without prior pregnancy / gestation are known as nulligravida .
