Poética Saudade Fado de Belém is a Fado group from Mexico .
Career
The group was founded in 2003 on the initiative of the US-born Mexican Marcela Ortiz Aznar. She is interested in alternative music and also developed a special preference for Portugal . So she discovered fado through the music of Madredeus and decided to make it known in Mexico. Marcela Ortiz Aznar is accompanied by changing Mexican musicians. In the meantime the group has performed in Lisbon and has produced various CDs that are strongly based on classical Fado, but in some pieces also experiment with influences from alternative music.
