Poeta Magica is a German folk band from Dexbach in central Hesse .

Band history

Holger Funke is the head of the music group. He studied Middle High German philology and was a member of the Elster Silberflug medieval group .

In addition to his role as a band leader, he also works as an event manager and instrument maker. He is also usually responsible for the arrangement and production of the works.

In 2001 the album Ragnar was released , the pieces of which were created using traditional methods from Sweden, Norway and Brittany.
