Polar World is the name of a zoo facility in the Orsa municipality in Sweden .

It is part of the Bear Park (Swedish Björnpark ) in the Orsa Grönklitt leisure complex , about 11 km from Orsa .

The approximately 40,000  m² polar bear facility aims to establish a European polar bear breed. European polar bear researchers were involved in the planning. The animals are kept as species-appropriate as possible without direct human contact, a snow cannon is available to cool off in summer , which can transform the landscape into an arctic region. The first residents are Ewa from Rotterdam and Wilbär from Stuttgart , who is called Wille in Sweden. You can watch the bears from inside a building through panoramic windows in the pond. Otherwise the area offers the animals plenty of exercise and retreat. In addition to polar bears, many other animals such as wolves , lynxes , brown bears , Kamchatka bears , owls , leopards and Siberian tigers can be observed in the spacious park .
