Political and Religious History of Amdo ( Tib. Mdo smad chos' byung ; Chin. Anduo zhengjiao shi 安 多 政教 史) is a work on the political , religious and cultural history of Amdo .
It was completed by Dragönpa Könchog Tenpa Rabgye ( brag dgon pa dkon mchog bstan pa rab rgyas ; 1801–1866) in 1865 after ten years of work.
The work consists of three volumes (juan), its Labrang print comprises 900 pages. It deals with the history of Tibetan Buddhism in the Amdo area , and includes all important monasteries and temples. The history of each monastery is discussed, its economic life and the number of its monks is given.
