The Polish Bridge Sports Federation (Polish Polski Związek Brydża Sportowego ) is the association of bridge players and clubs in Poland . It was founded in 1956/57 as a result of an agreement between a number of bridge leagues in Polish cities. The founding meeting took place on October 23, 1956 in Warsaw , where the Sports Association still has its seat today. The registration as an association took place almost six months later, on March 21, 1957 .

The founding members were: Gustaw Gottesman , Jerzy Czekański , Mirosław Kowalski , Stanisław Lucht and Bogumił Seifert . Then there was Henryk Niedźwiecki .

The association is divided into 16 departments that represent the respective voivodships .

The association publishes the Świat Brydża magazine as a member magazine and association organ . Some of the editions since 2010 are available online.

The Polish national team has received awards more than 140 times at world and European championships throughout the Polish Sports Federation.

As of March 31, 2019, the association had 5875 members.
