Pologij Island ( English , Russian Остров Пологий Ostrow Pologi , German “ Abyssal Island” ) is an island off the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located in the area of the Bunger Oasis .
Soviet scientists mapped and named them in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English.
