Polonids

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Polonides are a series of chemical compounds in which the polonium is present as Po 2− . They are the salts of polonium hydrogen .

Extraction and presentation

A variety of polonides can be produced by the direct reaction of polonium and another element at 300 to 400 ° C.

properties

Physical Properties

Most Polonide have a sodium chloride -like crystal system such as Natriumpolonid , Bleipolonid or the Lanthanoidpolonide . Beryllium polonide and cadmium polonide have a zinc sulfide- like crystal structure . The nickel arsenide structure was found in magnesium polonide.

Chemical properties

The polonides are considered to be the most stable compounds in polonium .
