The Pont de l'amitié Chine-Niger ("Bridge of Sino-Nigerien Friendship") is a road bridge in Niamey , Niger over the Niger River . It is the second river bridge in Niamey after the Kennedy Bridge .

In 2007 the Chinese and Nigerien governments decided to build a bridge. The foundation stone was laid on June 28, 2008 and the structure was opened to traffic on March 18, 2011. The Chinese state assumed the estimated cost of 20 billion CFA francs . The actual total cost should be around 25 billion CFA francs. The construction project has a length of 2.25 km including the driveways. The bridge itself is around 600 m long and 23 m wide. It has two lanes each separated by a median. In a second step, the driveways were built, which were also opened to traffic on December 9, 2012.
