Pontus Leander

Pontus Adalbert Leander (born September 18, 1872 in Holsljunga, Svenljunga municipality ( Sweden ), † August 12, 1935 in Capri ( Italy )) was a Swedish orientalist and Semitist .

Leander taught at Uppsala and Gothenburg Universities . Many of his writings were published in German. In 1922, together with Hans Bauer , he wrote the historical grammar of the Hebrew language of the Old Testament .
