Pop Warner Football

Pop Warner Football ( Pop Warner Little Scholars ) is an American youth sports organization that ensures football for children and young people .

Since there is no child and youth sport organized by sports associations in the USA, this voluntary organization, together with Little League Baseball , fills this gap. They are named after the successful American football coach Pop Warner (1871-1954) and were founded in 1929. Today around 425,000 children play football. The association also engages in cheerleading and dancing .

In order to play, not only training is required, but also appropriate academic performance. When training parents as trainers, particular attention is paid to prevention of injuries (especially concussion ). The basic trainer training is organized with distance learning letters.

Individual prizes are only awarded for corresponding academic achievements, not for individual athletic achievements. The children are not only divided into age, but also according to weight:
